Cómo integrar la inteligencia artificial en las prácticas periodísticas

Introducción: Los avances tecnológicos están transformando constantemente muchos sectores. Las tecnologías de inteligencia artificial también están provocando cambios y transformaciones en las prácticas periodísticas. Dado que las tecnologías de IA han experimentado avances significativos en los últimos años, existe una necesidad creciente de que los estudiantes de periodismo se familiaricen con las diferentes tecnologías de IA y se adapten a dichos cambios. Metodología: Se realizaron entrevistas semiestructuradas con representantes del sector y académicos sobre qué cursos deberían añadirse en la enseñanza superior en el proceso de utilización de la IA en las prácticas periodísticas. Se elaboraron propuestas de cursos a partir de los principales temas que surgieron.  Resultados: Al mismo tiempo, los trabajadores del sector de los medios de comunicación necesitan adoptar tecnologías de IA para adaptarse a las tecnologías de la comunicación. Basándose en los resultados de las entrevistas con expertos del sector y académicos del periodismo y en un análisis bibliográfico, este artículo sugiere que el plan de estudios de los departamentos de periodismo debería incluir cursos sobre temas y aplicaciones de la IA. En este sentido, parece inevitable que tanto los representantes del sector de los medios de comunicación como quienes se preparan para el sector reciban formación en inteligencia artificial. Conclusiones: La principal conclusión del estudio es que, en lugar de que la inteligencia artificial sustituya a los periodistas humanos, los empleados del sector de la prensa y los estudiantes de periodismo aumentarán su productividad con la inteligencia artificial si reciben la formación necesaria.
