Vivat Academia publishes research articles, review articles, and book reviews. All contributions must fall within the journal's Aims and Scope and comply with the requirements set out in the Author Guidelines for each type of contribution.

Research articles and review articles undergo external double-anonymized peer review, while book reviews are assessed editorially, in accordance with the journal's Peer Review Policy.

Research Articles

Original, unpublished manuscripts presenting the findings of scientific research and making a significant contribution to knowledge in their respective fields. They must be based on clearly defined objectives and supported by an appropriate theoretical and methodological framework that provides a sound basis for the findings and conclusions.

Research employing different theoretical and methodological approaches, including quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods, is welcome, provided that the research design is consistent with the stated objectives and is described with sufficient rigour and transparency to enable a thorough scientific assessment of the study.

Review Articles

Manuscripts that critically analyse, integrate, and evaluate existing scholarly literature on a specific research question or field of study, with the aim of providing an evidence-based synthesis and identifying trends, debates, gaps in knowledge, or new avenues for research.

Different review methodologies may be employed, provided that they are appropriate to the stated objectives and that the procedures for searching, selecting, analysing, and synthesising the literature are described with sufficient clarity and rigour. Reviews consisting merely of descriptive or uncritical compilations of previous publications will not be accepted.

Book Reviews

Critical, well-substantiated assessments of recent academic books relevant to the journal's subject areas. Reviews of books published more than three years ago will not be accepted.

Book reviews are published exclusively in their original language and in PDF format.

Thematic Special Issues

Vivat Academia may publish thematic special issues through specific calls for papers, which will establish a defined submission period.

Special issues do not constitute a separate type of contribution. Accordingly, submitted manuscripts must fall within one of the categories of scholarly articles accepted by the journal and meet the same scientific and editorial requirements as manuscripts submitted through the regular submission process.

Neither the thematic nature of a call for papers nor the involvement of invited guest editors alters the peer review process or the independence of editorial decisions.

Where a manuscript submitted to a special issue falls outside its specific theme but is relevant to the broader aims and scope of Vivat Academia, the Editorial Board may propose that the authors transfer their manuscript to the journal's regular submission process.
