Vivat Academia supports open access, dissemination, and the availability of the research outputs published in the journal.

Authors retain the rights applicable to their works and may enter into non-exclusive agreements for their deposit, self-archiving, or distribution, in accordance with the journal’s editorial policies and the terms of the licence applicable to each publication.

Self-Archiving Policy

Vivat Academia allows authors to deposit their works in institutional, subject-specific, or general-purpose repositories, as well as in other scholarly information systems or personal or institutional spaces intended for academic dissemination.

The journal permits self-archiving of the published version or Version of Record (VoR), corresponding to the final editorial version published by Vivat Academia. When the work is deposited or disseminated, authors are encouraged to clearly identify its original publication in Vivat Academia and to include the corresponding bibliographic reference and DOI. Its use and distribution must comply with the terms of the licence applicable to the article.

The journal does not impose any embargo period on the self-archiving of this version.

The conditions governing access to, use, and reuse of published content are set out in the journal’s Open Access Policy and Copyright Notice.

Vivat Academia’s self-archiving policy may also be recorded in specialised directories and services covering editorial and self-archiving policies, such as Dulcinea.

Manuscript Archiving Policy

Vivat Academia may retain information and documentation associated with submitted manuscripts where necessary for the management, monitoring, traceability, and integrity of the editorial process, in accordance with its internal procedures and applicable regulations.

The retention of such documentation is separate from the mechanisms intended to ensure the long-term preservation of published content, which are described in the journal’s Digital Preservation Policy.

The processing of personal data associated with editorial management shall be carried out in accordance with applicable regulations and Vivat Academia’s Privacy Statement.

Archiving Policy for Peer Review Reports and Review Correspondence

Vivat Academia may retain peer review reports and communications related to the editorial process where necessary to ensure its proper management, monitoring, traceability, and integrity, as well as to address any issues that may arise in connection with the review or publication process.

Access to and processing of such documentation shall be subject to the confidentiality principles governing the editorial process, the journal’s policies, and applicable data protection regulations.
